TamCost is a desktop application. Your estimating data is stored locally on your computer and is never transmitted to or accessed by us. This policy explains the limited information we do collect.
1. What We Collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the software:
- Email address — collected at the time of purchase via Stripe, used solely to deliver your license key.
- Machine ID — a hardware-based identifier used to bind your license to your computer. It is stored on our server but cannot be used to identify you personally.
- License key and status — to verify your subscription and activation.
We do not collect your estimates, project data, usage activity, or any other content you create in the software.
2. How We Use It
- To deliver your license key by email after purchase.
- To validate your license when the software activates.
- To manage your subscription (renewals, revocations).
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following services to process payments and send emails:
- Stripe — payment processing. Your payment details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (license key emails only).
4. Data Retention
We retain your email address and license record for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after to handle support requests or disputes. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (email and license record) by emailing us at info@tamcost.com. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the software constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
